After a friendship of several years, mutual admiration has brought a collaboration between South Africa’s favourite jazz duo and its favourite Afrikaans music sensation.

Tellinger & Fresk recently returned from a fantastic European tour and Joshua Na Die Reen recently cleaned up at the Ghoema Awards.
This unlikely team up is embarking on a series of performances and are also thrilled to introduce SPOORWEG, seven voices singing some of the most gorgeous music that you will forever be happy to have heard in such pure and righteous harmony.
This will certainly be an entertaining and unique presentation from three truly great musicians.

The long-awaited intimate album by Tellinger and Fresk is in the final production stages, currently being mixed down by the formidable Ludwig Bouwer of One Big Room studios! We’re excited about the sound and the selection. Titled “Deuce,” this album features many of my original compositions as well as standards from the Great American Songbook. Greetings And welcome to my new website, courtesy of my son, Elvis. Hopefully more user friendly and accessible for a technophobe like me. After a spate of gigs and various professional activities I’ve thrown myself back into the academic year and am also slowly recording a studio album with my preferred pianist, John Fresk. This album will focus more on the songs, mostly simple piano and voice, quite a few new compositions from me and also some of our favourite covers. Carol King will not be ignored, although as usual jazz will be the prevalent feel. Watch this space.    Barbora
